Dr. Stephen Roll is an assistant professor of research at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, and the associate director of research at the Social Policy Institute. His research focuses on developing and testing interventions to improve the financial security of economically vulnerable populations.
Currently, Dr. Roll is a co-lead on several unconditional cash transfer studies in the U.S., as well as an initiative to optimize Israel’s universal child savings account program and an evaluation of the recent expansion of Child Tax Credit in the U.S. In addition, he has several research projects focused on addressing food insecurity in pregnant women and the role of financial technology services in promoting financial well-being.
